BioMedical Genomics Center: Advancing genomics research, education, & outreach
From its inception in the spring of 2000, the BioMedical Genomics Center at the University of Minnesota has been advancing genomics and proteomics research as it applies to human and animal health. The BMGC continues to maintain, upgrade, and acquire state-of-the-art instrumentation for genomics and proteomics-focused research.
The BMGC is a leader in the development of genomics-related education and outreach through specialized conferences, seminars, and workshops. Through these efforts, the BMGC has helped establish entrepreneurial pathways linking genomics and proteomics discoveries to the founding of knowledge-based companies in the state of Minnesota.
